We do this through our bespoke “Career LaunchPad Programme’’.

South Africa faces a significant challenge with youth unemployment. The YES Programme tackles this issue head-on by providing unemployed youth with valuable on-the-job training. Peo Prime partners with the YES4Youth Programme to place these promising candidates within your company for a 12-month period.

The Process

1. Initial Contact

  • Contact Peo Prime by phone or email to express your interest in the YES Programme.
  • During this initial discussion, we will gather information about your company, specific job needs, and the YES placement role you have available.

2. Needs Assessment

  • Peo Prime will work closely with you to understand your company culture, work environment, and the specific skills and experience required for the YES placement role.
  • We will also assess the YES Programme guidelines and any specific requirements for the placement.

3. Candidate Selection

  • Peo Prime will identify suitable candidates from our pool of YES participants based on their skills, experience, and qualifications as they match your needs.
  • We may shortlist a few candidates for your review based on your desired criteria.

4. Interview & Selection

  • You will have the opportunity to interview shortlisted candidates to determine the best fit for your company and the YES placement role.
  • Peo Prime can assist in scheduling interviews and providing additional information about the candidates.

5. Pre-placement Training

  • Once a candidate is selected, Peo Prime will develop and deliver a customized pre-placement training program as outlined previously.
  • This training will equip the participant with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in your workplace.

6. Placement & Ongoing Support

  • Peo Prime will facilitate the placement of the chosen YES participant within your company.
  • We will also provide ongoing support throughout the placement period, including mentorship for the participant and regular communication with you.

Maximizing Success

  • To ensure a smooth and successful placement, Peo Prime recommends providing clear expectations and ongoing feedback to the YES participant.
  • We are also happy to offer additional support services, such as job-shadowing opportunities or mentorship programs, to further enhance the participant’s experience.

Eligible youth

The employer requirements will be taken into account in the recruitment of the YES youth. Below requirements are set by YES organisation.

  • Highest qualification – Matric/Grade 12
  • Must be between the ages 18 – 29 years old
  • Must be completely unemployed
  • Must be South African citizen
  • Will not be enrolled in academic studies for the duration of the YES programme
  • Has not participated in another YES programme with another company before.
  • No prior experience required
